Penetrating Hydrophobic Sealer
A penetrating sealer has a longer lifespan and is more durable than acrylics. Whereas acrylic sealers form a thin coating, penetrating sealers chemically alter the surface of the concrete to create a strong, hydrophobic membrane. This sealer lasts a minimum of three years but can last up to five or more with decent protection. Power washing will not damage this sealant the way it sometimes can with acrylic sealers. While this product does change the composition of your concrete, it does not change the appearance or texture. Most customers who use the Concrete Protector find that the ease of application, long lifespan and low maintenance makes this a much better choice than acrylic sealers.
